Cleveland State is well known for its engineering college and nursing program. The University offers a variety of majors and minors to choose from, and unlike many other universities, the professors are very personable, which makes it easier for students to build a strong rapport with them. The requirements for the many majors offered are easy to complete with the help of college prep classes in high school, as well as utilizing the guidance from the advisors offered to students by the University. The requirements force students to expand their comfort zones and make it a lot easier to find an area of interest to study, if a student is undecided.

Professors will work beyond their office and class hours to help a student reach their highest potential. Each professor has his or her own office hours in case a student needs to meet with them one-on-one.They make it simple to meet with them, and will even encourage students to e-mail if they have any questions, no matter how small they may be. Some professors will even give their students their home phone numbers, just in case they need to reach them for an immediate answer. Overall, the professors here provide the students with an all-around confidence when it comes to their studies. The faculty at CSU could not be any better because they not only make themselves easily available, but they are very diverse, which makes it easy for all students to relate to them personally.
