The campus housing situation is okay depending on what class you are. If you are a freshman then you are out of luck and probably have a poor quality dorm. Quality comes with class!

Parking on campus can be either very simple or very difficult at times depending on the time of day that you try and park. Overall its decent.

There are not many places that you can dine at within the area, it is a small area where everything in the community is really close by each other.

I haven't really had any difficulties at this time because I haven't started taking the main courses for my major yet.

I am very happy with my program. I'm excited about what's to come, and yes I would do it all over again. I love to learn, my career goal is to become an anesthesiologist a very sucessful one. I really don't have any concerns because there are hospitals all over the world I'm sure I'll find a job somewhere.

I haven't started taking classes in my specific program yet, but the classes that I am taking I do enjoy. I feel like i'm getting all the help that I need when I have a question.

I have not had an internship yet, but when I do I hope that it is not a hard process finding one being that Hartsville is so small.

No drugs at all are allowed on our campus. They separate drinking ages by dorms. They have dorms that are wet and others that are dry. The dry dorms are the ones that are not allowed drinking and wet ones are where only people 21 and older can live and are allowed to drink.

There is a wide variety of dining options off-campus, the cost of most of the restaurants are very reasonable for college students. Some do have student discounts but of course we do not think that they are enough, 10% should be increased to at least 30%.

Coker College is very strict to keeping their school drug free and positive. They also make you a top priority professors know you by your name not by number.

The weather on campus is wonderful. You can wear shorts and a t-shirt half of the school year . When it gets cold all you need a good winter jacket and you will be fine. But when it rains the blacktop usually flood and is covered with water.

The drug scene is not a big, although it depends on who you hang out with.

Parking is evenly spread out around the campus. Is kind of a first come first serve for good spots close to your dorm building. If you get a good spot don't move your car unless you truly have to move it because when you return it a 50/50 chance if you will find a another good spot.

Coker has numerous events that go on every day for you to attend.

Financial aid was not a problem. We were able to call the school and they helped us with any problem we had.

The food at Coker is alright. It could be better. I do enjoy the Cafe eventhough I know its not healthy.

Not Too Bad – Depending on the dorms you live in, parking is generally easy. Memorial is the best parking for RTC, Memorial, and Belk, but those fill up quickly. You never run out of parking in Byerly Parking.
College Senior 2012-07-30T03:39:38Z
Drastic Differences – At Coker College, all dorms are located near classes (except for the new dorms built off campus). RTC is generally a freshman dorm but there are always some upperclassmen that get stuck there after room draws. RTC is the worst with four floors, no elevator, and the occasional mold siting. Memorial is not a bad dorm, but it is the only one with community bathrooms. Grannis and JLC are the best upperclassmen dorms located on campus. They are decently renovated and house four people to a room. (Sometimes 5 in JLC with two bathrooms)

Health & Safety:
Campus Security Is Always Available and Friendly! I always feel safe on campus. The security officers are always personable and available. They stroll campus at all hours of the day and night, while having at least one officer available in their office located on the first floor of a central dorm.

APARTMENTS ARE CLOSE TO SCHOOL AND AFFORDABLE – Hartsville's Coke College is located in the center of town with makes it accessible to lots of great housing and transportation.
College Senior 2012-07-11T03:28:41Z
Being Located in a Small Town Sucks – Hartsville is a really small, family orientated town. Why a college was built there I will never understand. There isn't much things for college aged people to do . Most people go to other surrounding areas to have fun. Francis Marion in Florence is about 40 minutes away and Coastal Carolina and Myrtle Beach is about 2 hours away
College Senior 2012-07-11T03:20:38Z
Mostly White but Internationally Diverse – White students are the majority. I would say 60 - 40 percent ratio, compared with students of color. There is much international diversity which is cool for such a small college

The weather is pretty average for the most part. Nothing so extreme to get classes cancelled or anything
