Merit Scholarships

Merit scholarships are very attainable. You can get into the Wesson Honors Program for the highest scholarship per year (currently at $19,000 per year) and many of the scholarships are renewable. If you apply early you can get an additional $2,000 per year. If you apply and recieve another merit scholarship as I did for creative writing, you can get even more money per year! (Mine is $3,000!)

Alcohol Is Attainable

Alcohol at Colby-Sawyer is quite evident. Many students 21+ will host parties and provide alcohol to underage people. However, there is a program on campus called H.O.P.E. that you can go to if you've had too much alcohol and Campus Safety will investigate any rowdy areas to make sure underage people aren't drinking.

Friendly & Interested

Professors at CSC actually care that their students are getting something out of their classes. Although courses in the psychology department are challenging they are worthwhile and interesting. Professors offer office hours several times a week when students can stop in and discuss any problems that may have arisen. In the psychology field, I recommend you keep on top of assignments and don't put them off until the last minute because many classes will have large term papers (we're talking 15+ pages here) that will all be due around the same time. Budget your time and keep a planner! Your adviser will be VERY helpful in forming a schedule that suits your personal needs however.
