I received my B.S. in Computer Science but prior to doing so received a certificate in CIS. The classes were excellent and the education I received was beneficial and valuable. The homework and class assignments were challenging and allowed me to network as well as acquire new resources.

This school is great. Coleman University gives me all the tools I need to learn and there is an open door policy, which means that every teacher has there doors open at all times to help any student at any time.

I Wouldn't Know Yet – I just started school and I haven't talked to anybody in the career services yet. I was told that my school will help me find a job.

Shifting from Days to Night Classes – About my fourth mod it became necessary to shift for a day schedule to a night schedule. This process was as painless as I could have ever expected. It literally took less than 15 minutes to get my evening classes set up for the classes I was going to begin the very next week.

CIS Program – As a computer information systems student I learned programming languages from such people as Scott Mayer. The workload was challenging almost every step of the way and the facilities gave me a place to really focus my efforts. Currently being offered a study-work opportunity due to my volunteering on various Diversity committees.

It is my experience that Coleman focusing on giving what the student feels are the most important courses in their education. The fact that the school is set up to begin a class every 10 weeks (referred to as a mod) allowed me to immediately begin school.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The Office – One of the financial aid representatives actually sat down with me and helped fill out my FAFSA step by step and also told me how I could get the most out of my application. Thanks to that staff member, I received my Associate's Degree for free.

Amazing Staff – There is an Open-Door policy here which makes getting help extremely easy. I can always find someone that can schedule my classes, or help me fill out my FAFSA. Even my teachers answer my curious questions, after class, about the professional world of Graphic Design.

There Is an Alumni Network of Which I Do Not Know Much About – The career center at Coleman offers job placement assistance. It is known to be helpful for the Networking and Programming students, though it lacks helpfulness for its Graphic Design students

Ethnic and Generational Diversity – The student body at Coleman University is diverse in many ways. There is no dominant age or racial group, though the student body is pre-dominantly male.

Morning, Afternoon, Evening and Online Classes Available for Part- and Full-Time Students – Very flexible schedules, a full time student at Coleman has three four-hour classes per week, plus a lab day (Monday through Thursday). The inverted curriculum allows students to start with their intended major and only go through general education classes unless they wish to pursue Associate's of Science or Bachelor's of Science degrees in their perspective majors.

Bang for Your Buck – I chose Coleman University for the location, money, and accredited education in my field. It is a purely technical school that provides small classes during my schedule and allows me to complete a bachelors in under 3 years.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
