| Advice on Finding a Job/Internship | |
- Colgate alumni have great faith in the students at Colgate, and are always informing the staff at the center with job opportunities and internships in their respective fields.
Students in search of employment can access a database of Colgate alums listed by their current position, geographic location, and even their major and minor while at Colgate. The Center for Career Services regularly invites alumni to return to campus throughout the year, but especially for the annual "Real World" event, which gives graduating seniors a look into the professional lives of Colgate grads. The full-time and student staff at Spear House offer walk-in hours around campus and in town throughout the year.
- Two of Colgate’s biggest assets are its alumni base and its strong Center for Career Services. The staff at the center are genuinely interested in helping students find what they want, whether it be an internship on Capitol Hill, job shadowing during the summer, a summer job with a law firm, or permanent placement with a company following graduation.
