The majority of scholarships given are in the form of work study, making it impossible to obtain a campus job if you are not under the work study program.
Colgate is not need-blind, but the University hopes to be in the future and just undertook a new fundraising campaign toward that goal. The average financial aid package totals just a little more than $40,000 per year and is mostly derived from grants and work-study, with the smallest component coming from loans. The Office of Admission is committed to meeting 100 percent of demonstrated financial need, and financial aid is adjusted for study abroad opportunities.

This is a great opportunity for a student to gain experience and tremendous exposure, utilize new media techniques, and share advice with high school students about what life is really like at your college.
