Overnight Visits

The Student Host Program provides high school seniors and prospective transfer students an opportunity to experience everyday life at Colgate by staying overnight with a current student. Overnight visits during the week may include participating in classes and activities, eating in the dining hall, meeting with faculty, and speaking with current students. Hosts are available Sunday through Thursday, from mid-September to mid-November, and February to early March. Stays are limited to one night. Contact the Office of Admission at least two weeks in advance to arrange for a host. Saturdays@Colgate are offered on Saturdays from mid-September to early December. Prospective students and their families can get an in-depth look at the academic and campus life at Colgate. Ideal for first-time visitors, Saturdays@Colgate offer an hour-long information session led by an admission officer, and the opportunity to hear from a faculty member and Colgate students. Immediately following the session, families are invited to join our student guides for a tour of the campus. Light refreshments will be available starting at 9:30 a.m., and the formal program begins at 10:00 a.m. A reservation is required for a Saturdays@Colgate program. Call the Office of Admission at (315) 228-7401.
