Advice on Finding a Job/Internship
  • Attend the Career Fair, which is usually held every semester at the Gaillard Auditorium on Calhoun Street. Employers (from the Peace Corps to Geico) aim to recruit CofC students. Tailor your resume, put on a nice outfit, and be prepared to talk to potential employers!
  • CISTERNonline, a Web site for both students and alumni, posts internship and job opportunities, and is a great resource.
  • If you are worried about finding a job after graduation or need to make a decision about extended education, fear not. Career Services is there to help and can assist you in finding opportunities before graduation.
  • Once you declare a major, your department coordinator will send you tons of e-mails about available internships and/or other interesting things pertaining to your major, so, if you can, declare as soon as possible.
  • Stay in touch with Career Services—they love to help alumni find jobs.
Did You Know? There's an online newsletter which gives students the updates on jobs, internships, and alumni relations.
