I am a commuter, I just want to get there and get home, nothing in between

I don't pay attention to those things. Strongly disinterested

it is good, but the part about them not being roll over from semester term to the other is not good, especially if you have monies leftover.

Elms College feels very small and homey. It's a comfortable place to be where you feel connected to people, much unlike the state school I used to attend. It's easy to get from one place to another and it's next to impossible to get lost. But there are many things to do in the area that are off-campus, so it's not like you're missing out on anything.

Elms College is a very capable school for nursing. It is, in fact, what the school focuses on the most from what I can tell. They seem to know what they're doing and bring in international students into the program...although most of them are female. : )

Being in New England means the weather is crazy from day to day. However, being on a small campus means that the weather doesn't cause a problem.

I enjoy being an education major because I become very close to my professors and peers. My professors know me well enough to help me succeed to the best of my ability. I have the opportunity to visit different schools and classrooms. This helps me to gain experience in my field.

This school is working towards becoming more diverse. The student body is very accepting. As a catholic college, there tends to be more catholic and white students. However, all students are treated the same and given the same opportunities.

The professors are awesome and funny. They teach the material and genuinely care about all their students succeeding. They are willing to help and put effort into achieving goals. The majority of people are nursing majors. However, I've met a lot of other education majors. The workload is heavy, but manageable. There is always someone willing to help.

As and education major, I have not had any long term internships, however, as a sophomore I have already had time in the classroom. Because of this I have been able to gain the same type of experience as an internship would provide. My experiences have been a bit more diverse than one internship would provide.

A lot of students are involved in athletics. You can see all types of students wearing their athletic uniforms with pride on campus. Elms is really good in terms of soccer and basketball and everyone is definitely encouraged to participate in athletic activities.

It depends on what time of the day you have classes for. If you have classes in the early morning then you are more likely to get a parking spot of your choosing. Otherwise, the parking lot might be full and you might have to park on the other side of the road.

Guys & Girls:
Since Elms is a college of a smaller size, most individuals will tend to have similar fashion sense and lifestyles. However, most of them have vibrant personalities so it is still pretty easy to make friends in a shorter amount of time. Everyone acts civilized and respectful to others which is in my opinion the most important part.

I received a reasonable amount of financial aid. However, it would be very helpful if I were to receive a bit more as I do not wish to be on a large debt by the time I graduate from college. I understand that I do financially qualify for more but coming from a hard working middle class family, it would be very convenient to receive more aid. I would suggest to make private appointments and ask as many questions as possible, especially if you are a first year student and are not knowledgeable on how the financial aid process works.

There are some restaurants that I like and some that I have no interest in, but it's a nice variety.

Some classes in my program have been fantastic. Others have been less clear and a little scattered.

Health & Safety:
I've never felt unsafe at Elms. There isn't really any crime on campus.

Some classes are really good, a few have been not as great.

There are a few different sports teams at Elms, and from what I hear , the majority of them win a fair amount of games. They hold special events in cooperation with teams for things like breast cancer awareness, which draws more students in. Unfortunately I have never been to an Elms sporting event, so I cannot say how fun they actually are.

In Chicopee, the two nightlife establishments are Max Cap (Maximum Capacity) and Rumbleseat. Most students drive to a nearby town for a proper night out.

There is no in college transportation because the campus is lovely and small. There simply is no need!
College Sophomore 2013-05-26T20:22:08Z
In the direct surrounding area of the campus there is not a whole lot of activity, however a short distance away is the town of North Hampton, full of little shops and a very safe atmosphere! A lot of fun for all ages.

The college offers off campus housing, as well as helping find an apartment to rent that is totally affordable to a college student!

I think the fact that Elms is located next to some popular cities and towns gives students that reside on campus that opportunity to always find something to do off of campus. The school's atmosphere is welcoming despite the fact that the school is made up of a large amount of commuters

As a part of the field hockey team here at Elms I would have to say that athletics at Elms definitely bring people together. This year in particular my team did quite well in our conference and it definitely helped when people at school came out to support us and showed us that they were there to support us
Sorry, there are no reviews.
