Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

With the exception of marijuana and a little cocaine, there is virtually no drug scene at Holy Cross. And pot isn't used as widely as it is at other colleges and is often difficult to find. Students prefer to drink, rather than smoke, their problems away. Ecstasy, heroin, and meth are practically unheard of on campus. Although drugs are out there, you really have to make an effort to find them, and there is no pressure to use drugs.

Many students have not come into contact with any drugs because they choose not to do so. However, if you are looking to get involved with drugs, marijuana and cocaine are probably the only two that are present on and around campus. Like most other schools, drugs are there, but not overwhelmingly. If you want to stay away from drugs, you won’t have a problem doing that at Holy Cross.

Lots of Drinking, but Very Strict

Holy cross students simply love to drink. The phrase work hard play hard is exemplified perfectly in our crazy work weeks followed by equally insane weekends. Most students are hungover and exhausted on sunday mornings at brunch. drugs are definitely not prevalent here though some students will smoke on occasion. Worcester police are out to get holy cross students off campus though,so be careful and never carry any red cups with you

There but Never a Problem,

Usually the biggest issue is Alcohol consumption. There was an ambulance coming to take a student to the hospital almost every weekend at one point. However, each time the severity of the situation was not the same. Some were severe, some not even worth the trip. Other than that, I heard a lot about Weed usage and hardly any on using other illegal drugs. Drugs were never a problem for me but Public Safety does a great job of seizing any drug paraphernalia.
