Good Luck Getting a Spot Here It's never impossible to find a spot on campus.

Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Students’ biggest gripe about parking on campus is that freshmen and sophomores are not allowed to park. All agree that Public Safety is fairly strict about ticketing—you must have a parking decal in order to park on campus. If you’re in violation, you will get a ticket, and if you accumulate too many unpaid tickets, your car will get towed! The new parking garage, located near the senior apartments and Carlin and Alumni Halls, is pretty popular; it is much closer to student housing than the old lots.

Parking on campus isn’t bad. As long as you have a permit and park in the correct lot—a student lot—there won’t be any trouble. Although it is sometimes difficult to find a desirable spot, there is never any trouble actually finding a place to park. College Street is one of the few Worcester streets that allows unrestricted parking. Many freshmen and sophomores park here. However, beware—getting a spot is very difficult, and, if one is not available, there really is no other place to park. Winter parking regulations which ban parking on College Street are in effect from November through April. For students with a permit, parking is a breeze, but for those without, it’s impossible.

Not Good

Parking on campus is very limited. Freshmen and Sophomores can't have cars on campus and even when you do have a parking pass it's very hard to find "legal" parking.

Getting a Parking Permit

On-campus permits are issued by Public Safety. In order to park on Worcester city streets, a special permit is needed. This must be obtained from the city, and necessitates registering the car in Worcester. Few students actually go through this process.
