the online classes at college of the mainland are straightforward. Just log in to blackboard get the homework assignments and do the work. If I had any questions I could email the professor and they would answer me. Online classes are also nice because I didn't waste anytime driving to campus

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The financial aid office is always really busy before the new semesters. Students just need to submit their paperwork before the due date and it can be processed on time

I have not taken an online course while attending this school.

The staff is super friendly. I went in wanting to change my career path and my advisor took the time to talk me through everything and put me on the right path

There is not really much that sets us apart from other school. We have different clubs and organizations to join but that's about it

The Resources on campus are very useful. Every computer lab on campus becomes very helpful.

Overall, most of the professors are pretty good. I think that some can be a little more outgoing and enthusiastic with their students while teaching. That way the class is more into the class as well.

The program that I am currently pursuing is just my basics so I can transfer to a university but the classes are great. Workload is weighed out evenly. The job opportunities are great as well, I am actually considering the work-study program there.

I am taking core classes to transfer into Equestrian Studies and Architecture or Automotive Design as Majors and Minors at a major University. I was a dual credit student starting attendance at COM in the Fall of 2013. There was really no way on this web site to specify this, as far as I could tell. I only have academic experience with COM from Dual Credit, and for the most part it was a positive experience.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The fees of this school is less than others when starting out to take only the basics. Its highly recommended to go to a junior college because tuition is less. The education here is easy and good.

Online courses are pretty easy, they are learn at your own pace but also require you to do test in a timely manner. A online learner workshop is required to make sure you are able to understand the process. This helps students that are working and may not other wise be able to attend the classes. Their are some professors that are hard to get a hold of but most respond quickly.

The computer labs are full at times. The wireless access is great if you have a laptop you can even study outside. Printing on campus is easy but limited to 12 pages in the computer lab. This can become a hassle if you are doing a report, paper or lecture which you have to print out hand outs for.

Small class sizes allow the teachers to better help students.
The academic programs are designed to make sure you understand your field of study.

The campus has pretty much everything you need as a student. Computer Labs, Wireless internet, student gym, etc. The only thing I would say that needs improvement is the the books cost, not every student can afford $1,000 to $1,500 in books per semester.

Most everyone here is working class. There is a mixture of people, such as: highschool kids, highschool graduates, nurses, adults who work full time. The diversity in ethinicity is also very noteable.

the professors are good at getting their point across, but in certain classes were required to learn lessons on our own time and certain classes give out too much homework, the wrong combo can result in a work overload. teachers dont always feel obliged to help you out but when they do it makes it worth while. class lectures are very information-rich which is a big plus for me. im a verbal listener. applying for classes is a first come first served basis(with collegiate highschool students as priority first pick)

The computer network rarely ever has problems, just slow sometimes. There are numerous labs with printing available. Free wireless connection too.

the peopel at my college are friendly, i have yet to see a fight, for the most part, people believe in god, there are a wide variety of people but some stick out more than other(colorful dressing people) and sexuality and race are undiscriminated, there are no cliques, we all hang out with eachother and are a big happy family. and everyone has different political views so we dont get too big into it. alot of us plan on moving out of state to bigger, better colleges, or some of us plan to work at the plants as a full time career. but chances are if your a full time student here, you have a future.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I'm currently in the collegiate program at my highschool, where I am attending college at the same time. I am graduating with an associates degree while having to pay only a small fraction of the price. The education I get here is definitely my money's worth, and the financial aid office is always helpful.
College Senior 2013-03-11T14:49:47Z
I am majoring in applied science for bio-process technology. All of the classes in my degree plan will get me prepared for being a refinery operator. The classes are very well organized and as long as I stay focused I should have no problem graduating with an associates degree.
College Senior 2013-03-11T14:40:50Z
The online course I am taking is easy for me to comply with the material. The class is very well organized and doesn't take me long to figure out what to do next.

Resources on school campus are readily available on campus however the times available are sometimes conflicting and not everyone is made aware of what is available to them. all-in-all there are many good resources such as the Trio program and tutoring labs with students that help students and can connect.
College Sophomore 2013-02-06T13:30:36Z
my school is composed of working people, many of which have one or more jobs or part-time jobs. there are senior citizens as well as fresh highschool graduates. many of us are lower class financially. There is a decent balance of social interaction among us and learning.

I have always been in the average grade range. I failed a couple of classes last semester due to trouble of comprehending, one of the two subjects i failed was algebra. i also had a lack of communication with my instructors when i was having trouble. this semester i have kept up with my instructors using text, e-mail, and black board. i was extremely upset with myself last semester for failing and i do not intend to do so again. i will work hard and perservere.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
