My school is the perfect choice for someone (like me) who wants the education that college offers without having to endure the drama that comes with living on campus. I think it's drama, at least. Some may disagree and say that this is essential to the "college experience". But as for me, I am going to college so I can expand my horizons (intellectually, that is). I wish to avoid the culture that is driven by sex, alcohol, and partying their way through college. Excuse my rant, but this is why I chose my school. Not only that, but it also closer to my life and less expensive than 4-year colleges.

I have had mixed emotions regarding online courses. They definitely take more self-motivation. In my opinion, they require more busy work so the professors know you are actually participating in the class. As far as the interaction the professors have with the students, I've had some who I don't hear from after the first week of school. But, again, I've had others that are with me every step of the way helping me succeed.

The students at CWI seem to be mostly career-oriented adults with fairly good ideas of what they want to achieve while in school. There is a wide range of diversity here. Because many of them already have careers, families, and other things they are involved in, the sense of community seems to be lacking.

All day long, everyday and everytime. I started out at Brown Mackie College in 2011 and only went for one semester. When I looked into CWI I found that they had so much more to offer. They had cheaper tuition, more career courses to choose from, better schedule selection, better instructors, better student body and was all around a better school. So, after looking at so many different schools CWI came out in the end as the best choice and I do not regret it one bit.

Our school doesn't have housing, but the greens and buildings are beautiful. There are also numerous areas that are available for students to be able to study in private. The chairs are comfortable, there are lots of tables and the program that I am in is great! I get to school at 7:00am and leave at 2:00pm. It's like going to work every morning, working on engines and then going home. So, when I do graduate I will have work experience and be used to having a job. We have all state of the art machines, tools and equipment to work on that is up to date and current. Our facility is one of the top in the country and I am proud to be a part of it.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I would have to say that at $136 a credit for tuition I am happy with the cost. What I'm not really happy with is that we are sometimes not allowed as much in loans as we may need. But, I do unserstand why we don't get more. Paying them back after school would be that much tougher. Other than that one little problem I like the cost and the way financial aid is done.

I decided in the beginning that I was going to complete all of my core classes before going into my tech. classes and that's what I've done. I am ending my second year at CWI and have loved every bit of it. I have four total semesters left and then I get to look into going for a higher degree. I love my major. I am in Powersports and Small Engine Repair and my instructors are excellent. They can be depended on when we are close to graduation to be there to get us a job whether it's part time or full time. They are willing to give us a great reference and use their contacts if we are willing to put in the hard work and prove that we are job worthy.

I don't have any complaints about CWI. The registration process is easy online and if someone has trouble they are able to go to the school. There are people there assigned to walk them through the process if needed. The classes are great, the instructors are great, the student body as a whole is great and I look forward to each and every new semester.

The online courses that are offered through the College of Western Idaho are numerous and offer a wide range of choices. Plus, we are required to complete an online group componant with other students plus our instructor 2-3 times a week. So, even if we don't need to contact the instructor directly we are in contact with them throughout the week through assignments. We are also given the instructors' phone number and email address in case we need help with anything.

We have to follow a set attendence regimine, but the instructors know that sometimes "life Happens" and a student just wont be in class at times or has to run late or leave early. As long as we are doing what needs to be done and is staying caught up on our work and grades we are allowed leniency. The options for class schedules are great! There are a lot of classes offered online and the in class classes range from early morning and later at night to Monday through Saturday.

The students at the College of Western Idaho are very career oriented, friendly, respectful and polite. The first thing that I can expect to see when I look at another student in the face is a friendly smile and then a nod. That is a big part of what makes me look forward to getting up for classes every morning. The age ranges from 18-60 and there are more and more Mothers and Fathers returning to school every semester.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The education might not be worth as much as I'm paying for, but you can't put a price of knowledge. This is what I can do for now, but I'm looking forward to trying a different school. The student aid office was extremely helpful, and the forms were easy enough to navigate through. I would say the only thing they could improve on is making their staff easier to access.

The computer lab is open for most of the day and there is always a computer available for use. The wireless is usually available but it has gone down a couple times. A personal computer and printer is very helpful but it is possible to get by without one.

My school has a One Stop Student Service which allows you to get any information and help in one place.

The classes are fairly flexible and they offer help in transfering credits.

Everything is pread out in different buildings throughout the city and there are only basic resources offered.

The main reason i chose this grade is because i do my work and turn it in on time. I study hard and go to class every day.

I am an accounting major, the classes that are required are all either related to my degree or real life. I love all my classes and how the interact with one another. I prefer the College of Western Idaho over any other community college in the Treasure Valley.

There is a wide verity of choices and options for anyone to choose from. I feel that with some classes there should be less homework (maximum of 3 hours per week). Sometimes the homework is over whelming due to most students are working full-time, have a family to take care of and are taking any where from one class to going to school full-time. There are nice computer labs to study and the library is very helpful. Everyone, students, staff, and teachers, are very friendly and helpful.

I chose to go to College of Western Idaho because of how inexpensive it is. I was told that most of my credits would transfer to Boise State, the university that I dream to attend. I am going by faith hoping that my credits transfer and hopefully not have to waist effort and time on classes that I don't need.

I am a freshman in community college, still working on my associates. I assume that the Career Services are not that helpful because its not a university. They are there to help students pay less for an education.

when you have a question you have plenty places to go and to ask questions and get the answers you want to hear most of the time
