I am taking multiple hybrid classes, they are not fully online but they are part-time. It took me a while to get used to blackboard, I wish someone would have explained blackboard to me a little further before I started my first year of college. Now that I know more about blackboard, it is a super amazing, and easy way to check on my homework and assignments. Sometimes the workload can get to be a little much but, that is when the classes give you homework around the same time. The registration process was super easy. I had some help in the beginning but now I have no problem registering on my own. My professors' are all amazing! If i need any help with anything they are right there. Peer-to-peer interaction is also great, we all work well together for the most part.

I have had mixed emotions regarding online courses. They definitely take more self-motivation. In my opinion, they require more busy work so the professors know you are actually participating in the class. As far as the interaction the professors have with the students, I've had some who I don't hear from after the first week of school. But, again, I've had others that are with me every step of the way helping me succeed.

The online courses that are offered through the College of Western Idaho are numerous and offer a wide range of choices. Plus, we are required to complete an online group componant with other students plus our instructor 2-3 times a week. So, even if we don't need to contact the instructor directly we are in contact with them throughout the week through assignments. We are also given the instructors' phone number and email address in case we need help with anything.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
