College Prowler Take

For hours of entertainment, students flock to the Sadler Center basement, where there are ski-ball games, shuffle board tables, pinball machines, video games, and pool, as well as a food store, a bar, and a late-night Quiznos. In addition to the entertainment already offered in the dorms, this seems to satisfy student need for relaxation and social time.

Students sweat away their stress at the newly renovated Rec Center, which features weight and exercise machines, weight rooms, an indoor pool, racquetball and squash courts, basketball courts, and outdoor tennis courts. It also has an outdoor equipment center where students can rent tents, sleeping bags, and other extras for a minimal fee. The Rec Center also has a climbing wall, a juice bar, and additional multipurpose courts. The most common complaint is that a few of the older academic buildings could use some improvement; however, the Chemistry, Biology, Psychology, Physics, English, and Business departments are all in the midst of immense renovation projects, and many massive new buildings are appearing on new campus.

The computer science building is pretty new and quite technologically advanced. The business building isn’t bad, either. And the library was renovated. Most of the science buildings are outdated, but they’re gradually improving, one by one.

The computers are always upgraded, and they are really nice—a bit light on the entertainment software, but for academics they have anything you could want. The Rec Center is really nice, and we have tons of fields and tennis courts. You can always find a place to play something, and if you need the equipment, you can rent it really cheaply from the Rec Center.

We have a nice Rec Center with workout machines, weights, a pool, racquetball courts, and even a juice place. Computer labs are nice and well stocked, as are the library computers. The two student centers, the Sadler Center and the Campus Center, are both nice with their own eateries, student offices, and study areas. The SC contains a basement with pool tables, video games, air hockey tables, pinball, skee-ball, a student store, TVs, the post office, mailboxes, and the Lodge One dining facility.
