Crazy Virginia Weather

It's hot when you arrive in august, but stays gorgeous through November. When you come back in January it's chilly but manageable. Snows once or twice per year. This past year, we had 3 inches of snow and then 3 days later it was 80 degrees...

Unpredictable and Annoying

The campus regularly floods from the amount of rainfall. People have lost their flip flops from their feet. Rain boots are a must - even sneakers won't hold up to ankle-deep water.

One day it will be sunny and dry, the next there's a hurricane (which, BTW, literally happened last fall). The weather is all over the place and hard to dress for.

Variable

Weather is all over the place in Williamsburg. One day it will be incredibly warm, summery weather, and the next you will be shivering all day long. The biggest concern as far as weather is involved, however, is during the Spring when plants start blooming and the campus is inundated in pollen for several weeks. So be careful if you have certain allergies.
