WARNING INCOMING STUDENTS
They have moved the former chief of police to head of campus security, and every security guard on campus was/is a cop as well.
They send patrols up and down hallways constantly, you can't go up or down any street without a security car passing by, and you can't walk around at night without being approached, interrogated, harassed, and forced to present college identification. This includes being off campus.
If you get caught with weed or alcohol, expect to be hiring an attorney and going to court. Depending on how much you're willing to pay an attorney, you'll get anywhere from $500 in fines and drug classes to probation, drug classes, and around $1000 in fines.
If you're looking for a liberal campus like Oberlin or anything similar, this is not your place.
I know someone who was caught smoking out their windows by security guards in bushes with binoculars. Anyone who says that campus security is laid back is obviously not on the same campus. They actually fired two officers very recently for how bad they harass students.
If you want to have fun, get loose, and enjoy a typical college night-life after a long week of hard work, do not attend the College of Wooster.
I myself and transferring by next fall.
