Alcohol is widely used on campus. Students at Wooster enjoy drinking, but it's not an activity that everyone is involved in. There are plenty of on-campus and off-campus activities and events for students who don’t drink. However, it is hard to avoid the drinking scene at Wooster even if you choose to not be involved in it.
Treading below the surface of student activity at Wooster is drugs. Although the drug scene is pretty small, it does exist. Marijuana is prevalent on campus, and during midterms, finals, and the height of I.S. (independent study) crunch time, many students turn to Adderall or other “study drugs." But harder drugs are not big at Wooster. Unlike alcohol, the drug scene is easy to ignore if you choose to. So, while drugs can be found on campus, you'll only find them if you are looking for them.

Drinking socially is popular. The underage drinking policies are becoming more and more enforced, definitely.

Alcohol Is Present. Everywhere.
But it tends to be only cheap beer. And with regards to the drug scene: it's there, but if you don't want to see it, it's easily avoided.
