Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

What Wooster lacks in attractions and entertainment, it makes up for in its restaurant selection. For a small town, there is a large number of places to choose from to eat at off campus. Uptown includes larger commercial chains with familiar favorites like Panera, Chipotle, Little Caesars, Applebee’s, and Buffalo Wild Wings. Students venture downtown for some of Wooster’s charming family-owned restaurants and small unique chains such as Matsos Family Restaurant, Broken Rock’s, and the Olde Jaol Brewing Company. And there are also plenty of fast food restaurants for students who want to grab a quick bite to eat or snack on something late at night.

Although students aren’t happy with the ethnic food options around Wooster—wishing that there were more authentic Mexican, Chinese, Indian, and Mediterranean options—most agree that the steady development in the city of Wooster is a step in the right direction. Several restaurants, including Zen Restaurant and Lounge, Spoon Market, Panera, and Chipotle have all been built in the past few years.

Chain Restuarants

Although their are some interesting restauarants downtown, within walking distance, most of the dining options are average. Chipotle seems to be a favorite!
