Great

In efforts to ensure racial and cultural diversity, the College of Wooster meets certain student needs in a most agreeable manner. Being Black and seeing my parents' job struggles at the time of my application, Wooster gave my family a great offer that made my education possible.

The downside: things can be a bit messy in terms of communicating back and forth, and disciplinary action was taken against me once, in spite of a verbal contract ensuring that payment would be made. The school is generous when it wants to be, but I get the impression from some of my more affluent friends that everyone hasn't been as lucky as I have in that department. Some of my friends aren't receiving any financial assistance at all!

But that's their business, and as far as I know, financial aid is my best friend!

Not Too Bad

Financial isn't particularly hard to come by. Since Wooster is a private school, they're pretty good about giving scholarships to pretty much anyone who wants/needs one. As long as you show interest and follow through, it's not that difficult.
