It really made me learn and push my self to individually learn. I did learn and gain knowledge but only because of my interest in learning. Overall it would help greatly if there could be more interaction with students and instructor.

Just like any other online course I've taken most is individual work and hard to work on peer-to-peer interactions. It would have helped greatly to have interacted more and learn from each other and not just have an independent study.

The wifi network is always available, though it suffers from lag issues. Otherwise, the campus resources are adequate.

Back when they let any person with experience teach their classes, there were some very poor teachers. But since they required Bachelor's from their teaching staff, the quality of the teaching staff increased drastically.

The tech support is one of the better of any of the schools I've attended. They are willing and able to perform wipes on your computer, scan your computer for defects/viruses, send out for parts, and generally keep your laptop in great working order in a short amount of time.

The one thing that I liked about Collins was that in lieu of a computer lab, they had a program where they provided every student with a laptop of their own. This was done through student financing, and was an optional program. If you wanted to buy your own laptop, you can, but if you do not have the means, Collins will provide one for you. The downside, the laptops are a little pricey, you'll have to pay for interest, and there are better computers out there. But again, if you can't buy your own, this is a great program.

Access to instructors through student portal; access to staff at any time is good. Laptops are provided as part of the tuition; can access network at many stations around the building. Can upload assignments through student portal. Job placement assistance; financial aid personnel are knowledgable. Library books geared toward classes taught.

This is not a typical campus. There is a student room and gaming room. You can hook your laptop up almost anywhere. Job placement assistance. Shuttle between the two campuses.

Fun school, ridiculously small library and pretty small class sizes.

Good school but financial aid misleads you and no one tells you the most important things that effect your finances.

every one is so different from one another. they all seem really nice but most people hang out with the people who have the same major. if you don't talk to anyone you might be a loner for a little while but if you try to talk to people they are all really friendly and will talk to you.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Out of County – Out of county students pay double of what in county stupends pay.
College Sophomore 2012-09-08T04:11:41Z
Collin county offers a great deal of services to the students. For a example free counseling, and fitness center.

Instrustors Always Available – Every instructor I've had ever since I started 1 year and 9 months ago have been extremely helpful and available. They go to great lengths to be sure we get the information or help we need. By having outside class availability every day and access to their emails almost 24/7.
College Senior 2012-08-15T15:51:26Z
Not Much Extra – There is a really resourceful library but not much in campus activities and no athletic center.

Some people don't have jobs so they are able to buy everything and sometimes the teachers expect some students to have the same. Other students work almost full-time and are barely getting by but are managing. Most instructors understand.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
What a Nightmare – I was given an estimate for my tuition firmly whole time there and tuition changed and I don't have any federal funding left. I was told I had $4000 to pay the school for tuition and I had to explain that my set graduation date is only two terms and they wanted me to pay for three. After I explained to them they said that I wouldn't get hardly and funding since I only had a partial academic year. These people need to get their crap together. What a nightmare.

We have a great career services department that continues to look for jobs that a student might be great at even after they have graduated. They are always posting jobs, career fair opportunities and more.

Network Is Great. The connectivity is high and works great throughout the building.

It's up to You. Resources are limited only by your lack of technology. Pretty much everything is given to you and it's up to you if you want to use it or not.
They have a game room and games available.

I have a lot of fun in classes and the professors are great. Everyone is friendly in the school and mostly everyone knows each other. The classes are worth everything.

Sans the difficulties with tuition payments and financial aid issues all over the place, I am very pleased with my experience and time here at Collins College. Important skills are learned early on, and honed throughout your courses.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
