The feelings are mixed about the drug scene at CC. While some students wholeheartedly believe that “you can’t be an alcoholic until after you graduate,” CC students sometimes demonstrate patterns of problem drinking, including binge drinking and drinking heavily on class nights. At the same time, most students confine their drinking to the weekends, and then to under five drinks. A large group of CC students never use drugs other than alcohol, and many say that they’re not even remotely interested in trying them. Unlike at some colleges, “no” definitely means “no” at CC. This doesn’t mean, however, that drug use is “low,” even relative to other college campuses.
After alcohol, the drug of choice seems to be, not surprisingly, pot. Marijuana is a hugely popular drug, used frequently in residence halls in the early afternoon hours. Students can buy pot without any problems, and lax enforcement of drug policies makes it an even more attractive option. Harder drugs, such as cocaine, are not much more difficult to come by and have their users, but are far less visible on campus.
Recently, as with many college campuses, ecstasy has become increasingly available. Again, some people use it, and some don't. There's never any pressure, and people are always understanding of different lifestyles. For those who aren't interested in using drugs or alcohol at all, there are a number of people on campus who abstain from the party scene completely. It's best to find friends who also don't party, and this is often accomplished by living in the substance-free halls in the dorms. Although the party scene dominates, there are plenty of fun, alternative activities on a Friday night.

You Can Find What You Want
whether its weed, coke, or or just getting high on life if you are determined, or even if your not particularly determined and just ask, you can find whatever you want. Depending on who you hang out with there is no pressure to do anything and there's no real judgement if you do. I will say CC kids do like their casual weed but i'd guess that's true at every outdoorsy type liberal arts college.

You'll Find It If You Want to
Drinking is a big part of campus life, with many students going out to parties and social events on weekend nights. Despite this mindset, those that choose not to drink are generally respected in their choice not to partake. There's a responsible drinking policy on campus, so as long as you aren't getting out of control or playing drinking games, most of the professional staff will leave you alone. There's a fair amount of pot usage at CC (and a debate over the legitimacy of a section in the student newspaper about local MMJ dispensaries and their available selections to go with it), but people are understanding if you don't partake and there's plenty of fun to be had without it.
