Jump for Joy A CC freshman on a New Student Orientation trip to the Collegiate Peaks. NSO (also called Priddy) trips are a student's first taste of CC and offer them a chance to get to know a small group of people. The groups engage in service projects together across Colorado and the region.

Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

The climate, social opportunities, intense academics, and the chance to become involved in a variety of activities (even as a first-year student) sways visitors within moments of stepping onto Colorado College's campus. Incoming students and those planning to apply should drop in for a visit, either for the day or overnight.

More than most other colleges, CC earns respect from its current students and graduates for the training it provides in many areas that serves students well throughout their careers. Aside from social and academic elements, CC brings amazing speakers and activities to campus. Better yet, with all the grants and funding available for student projects, rarely a night passes without a student giving a presentation about his or her adventures hiking in Tibet, helping immigrants survive at the U.S.-Mexico border, or interning in the Antarctic. It’s possible to get an education nearly anywhere, but to get a real educational experience, CC is a perfect choice.

Rich Experiences

Colorado College is for independently motivated students who like to try new things and get involved. There are a great variety of courses offered, and a number of incredible people and opportunities. It is easy to get overwhelmed by the block plan and the social scene—but being overwhelmed in college every now and then isn't necessarily a bad thing.

The Best School Ever

My experience at Colorado College does not seem to compare to any of my other friends at other schools. The level of education, the quality of people and the closeness of the school all create a great atmosphere where you can find at no other school!

Work Hard, Play Hard

The people here are really intelligent, but not flashy about it. In general the atmosphere is really open and people are super friendly. Plus, the vast majority of people are very committed to their study, but know how to throw down on the weekends/block breaks.
