Facts

Clubs and Organizations on Campus

Although the block plan limits the amount of time students have for extracurricular activities, most students find the time to be active in at least one club or organization. The most active clubs include those that host events raising money for various charitable causes, those that volunteer in the community, and those that simply exist for the benefit of the student body. Included in this last group are the organizations that bring entertainment to campus; an example would be the Carnivore Club, which hosts barbecues on the quad. Clubs are easy to start, and funding is doled out by the student government based on the club's perceived impact.

Did You Know?

Colorado College boasts more than 60 active student-led organizations.

There are three talented a cappella groups on campus: Back Row, an all-male group, Ellement, an all-female group, and the coed Room 46. All three put on well-attended performances each semester.

The Outdoor Recreation Committee (ORC) offers student-led outdoor activities that include group camping, backpacking, mountain biking, and many other activities. This group also has an extensive inventory of gear (ie. backpacks, tents, sleeping bags, etc.) available for students to borrow for free.
