Nestled at the base of Pikes Peak, Colorado Springs boasts a temperate climate and a close proximity to Rocky Mountain ski slopes and stunning rivers. In 1958, the United States Air Force Academy made "The Springs" its home base. The town also claims no fewer than four military bases and is home to more than a 1,000 large companies in such fields as aerospace, biotechnology, and computer research. With a high concentration of companies specializing in advanced technology, Colorado Springs draws ambitious students and professionals seeking careers in these industries.
There are many student resources and athletic departments available for on-campus use and educational purposes. There is an abundance of library resources available for research and studying. A computer lab is also available and accessible for all students in need; not all students have the ability to purchase their own computers, so these labs are there for that purpose.
