I was fine with financial aid my first semester the process was pretty easy and I got the aid I needed but have had issues since. When I went to a financial services meeting with a counselor I did not find her very helpful at all. When I asked about scholarships she just told me the website link to check which I already knew. She didn't know what I would pesonally qualify for and was not very helpful. Whne I filled out FAFSA info this year I got an email from FAFSA in one day that they had processed it but when I called my school they will not process in less than 15 days so I cannot sign up for classes on time. Ov erall it depends on your situation at the time whether the system will work for you or not. Financial services department is pretty nice but not the most helpful

It's very hard to deal with anyone in the financial aid office and to get them to understand your problem.

Great financial aid experience, helpful workers and easy.

I received a nice size scholarship from Columbia but since the school itself is so expensive my scholarship only covers a small portion of the costs of attendance.

I got some aid, but in the future I will need much more to cover the costs.
