Did You Know? Lots of famous people go to and have gone to Columbia. Alexander Hamilton went to Columbia, but he never graduated. On the other hand, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Anna Paquin, and Rider Strong all completed undergraduate degrees at Columbia. Julia Stiles and Joseph Gordon Levitt are also famous actors that attend Columbia. Unfortunately though, they don't live in beautiful apartments or have glamourous lives—Julia Stiles ate in the freshman dining hall with her buddies during her freshman year, and Anna Paquin was often seen at the West End drinking draft beer. So much for stardom.
