General education credits are easily transferred (if your previous schools are regionally accredited American colleges/unis). Online classes are really flexible. There's a lot of reading, studying, and homework though. Put in the time and effort. How often you're logged in, and the amount of intelligent comments or questions you make counts towards attendance. Each professor counts attendance differently though, so be on the lookout for irregularities in grading procedures.

I'm a graphic design major. For online classes, the workload is a lot, more so than commuter classes (you can't hide in the back of the classroom). Online classes is like freelancing: you put in the effort, and you get rewarded. No slacking allowed. The curriculum is relevant to your major(s). The prerequisite Dimensions of Work and Dimensions of Freedom were more helpful than I had anticipated. The internship/career counseling is practically non-existent though. You have to be a go-getter if you want to find work/paid internship opportunities.

Great school. Good academics. Extremely helpful and polite administrative staff. Some professors are inattentive though, so just check out their reviews. This is the most expensive community college in America, it's better than the rest :)

I am currently taking two online courses and a hybrid course. I am absolutely loving it. I am able to do my schoolwork when I have time and figure out ways to self-teach which I believe is very important. The professors are great and helpful. I am able to do some homework while at work during down time which means I have more of a social life. I also have fewer distractions such as people talking in class.

The Academics at CCV are great. We have small classes and our teachers are professionals in the community that bring the benefit of their career experience. The class workload is manageable and the professors are very explicit about their expectations and super supportive. Financial aid and registration are a breeze.

I love that there is help available for students. You can get help in any class or with homework and it's free. All of the teachers are there because they want to be and it definitely shows!

Our school has a lot of working individuals as well as parents that are trying to create a better life for themselves and are very determined. We also have the fresh out of high school set, but there is no drama among students that I have ever witnessed. We have students from all the surrounding areas, swanky and non, but people are there to learn and it shows.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Financial aid was a breeze, as long as you are eligible. I had some issues with getting financial aid, but it wasn't due to the school itself, but rather the department of education. They make it easy to get your financial aid and grants set up.

It is great! Since my school doesn't offer a nursing program, you can take an Allied Health Prep certificate pathway which prepares you to apply for nursing school with all prerequisites and corequisites already completed!

There are a lot of different classes to choose from and different campuses in the state of Vermont as well as online, so it is easy to get an education. I wish there were more foreign language classes though, and that my smaller campus had more science options each semester instead of just Anatomy and Physiology I one semester and II the next, not all of us are on the same schedule.

The Student body at CCV is amazing. Everyone here is here to learn and earn their credits, not to party or socialize, creating a very academic environment where everyone is helpful.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
CCV is well worth the money for students starting into their college careers or people looking to go back to school later in life.

A lot of the courses at CCV really allow a lot of Academic Flexibility. As a recent College Graduate, and loan repayments kicking in having the flexibility that CCV offers with Online courses is a real life saver! It allows me to work around my schedule, but still get the education I need to help me towards entering graduate school. With the low cost per credit, it is also not a financial burden, which they also over flexible payment plans! Overall a wonderful school to deal with!

Once I got use to it, great. Used to face to face, but it's ok.

CCV online classes are wonderful. It allows you better contact with your teachers and classmates through out the semester. I also enjoy that you can read the other students work and see how they are viewing something everyone just read. It expands your thoughts and knowledge in that particular area. The teachers also add their own flare to each conversation which broadens the topic even more. Registration, enrollment and finance are so simple, it can be done in person or online. A physical class does not offer all the contact you have with your classmates and teachers. I love it.

Community College of Vermont more than exceeds my expectations. I am an online student only and all classes I need to take are online, which amazed me. The professors are very knowledgeable, caring, answer questions quickly. The work load is exactly where it needs to be. It is not simple, it is challenging, and the work load gets heavier from mid-terms to final. The staff are extremely helpful and go beyond their duty to aid you in whatever may be your concern.

It's a community college, they do as much as they can with the resources available.
College Senior 2013-03-26T01:18:37Z
I take all of my classes online but I am very satisfied with the overall setup. There are plenty of resources available right from my computer. There have been many times where I was unsure of something pertaining to either financial aid, start dates, requirements, grades etc. and I am perfectly comfortable with calling up or sending and email because I always get quick, thorough responses.

I am working with and learning from a group of professionals, with a curriculum that is just challenging enough. The workload is simple enough as I am only taking 2 classes at this time. I believe the classes offered are of a diverse selection and make it easier for students to better finish their degrees at a faster level.

As a liberal studies major I don't really have too many job opportunities at this time. I ALSO RECEIVED the Allied health certificate in which I used to become an LPN. I WAS able to get a job, but not a permanent one. I am hoping for a better outcome this time

I am not familiar with the post grad services. I am hoping they are spectacular and find me an awesome job.

tutoring is the best, other than that there is nothing on campus.
Recent Alumnus 2013-02-25T03:35:21Z
The campus is pleasant, the professors are there to help make sure you succeed. I am a little disgruntled that the soda machine is gone, but I do get a little exercise walking for it now.

We are having quite a bit of difficulty in one class. It seems every week we have to make due with the equipment we have or try and fix the equipment that is not working.
College Sophomore 2013-02-06T14:35:43Z
There are computers available and laptops available for use after, before, and during classes. We can print to the student lounge or take it to the front desk and have them print it for us. The network itself is pretty reliable but the computers do tend to run slowly.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
