The consensus of Concordia students is that the campus is very much a safe place to live. The college grounds are relatively small, and there are always students walking to classes, dorms, or student centers. Even during the night, there is very little reason to feel threatened or scared; students roam the campus freely year-round, including during the bitterly cold months. However, when a situation arises, campus security is able to respond rather quickly. The security personnel take on a sort of “neither seen nor heard” role unless they are called into action. There is one main security car that patrols the grounds during the night, and this is enough to create a safe environment for all people on campus. Students agree that the atmosphere of the dormitories is safe as well, and some are even comfortable enough to leave doors unlocked.

There is a student health center that sends out a monthly email with basic health strategies. The building and staff are normally approachable and helpful when health issues arise. At this building, students can get the ever-so-exciting flu shots for the winter season and check-ups for their overall well-being. The health center staff is also able to treat students for various physical and mental illnesses that might be encountered while living away from home.
