It is almost purely good because it is a dry campus. It's something I'm proud of.

Concordia University Irvine is a dry campus, and has been for about a year or so. This doesn't mean that everyone is a teetotaler, but it does mean that if you want to drink, you have to be off campus, and you can't come back to campus drunk. Personally, I don't like that kind of partying, so this works wonderfully for me :)

Parties are there if you know where to look. Most of the time the sports teams are the people to see for parties. There are +18 clubs in the area such as Sharks and Tapas, although they're not that great in my opinion. For a good time I tend to like partying with friends in house parties off campus, or taking a trip to LA for the clubs up there. It's further away, but it's worth it.

Nightlife is for students 21 and over if you are drinking and there are several centers just 5 minutes from school so you can take a taxi without breaking your budget. Concordia is a dry campus so there is no alcohol allowed in dorms or anywhere on campus. However, if you have transportation (or if you have friends who have transportation) nightlife is still a lot of fun for 21 and under. The Irvine Spectrum is a 5 minute drive away and hosts several inexpensive restaurants, Dave & Busters arcade, 21 movie theaters & a multitude of shopping for nighttime browsing & carousing. On the other side of Concordia is a huge town center with lots of activity because it is across the street from the Univ of Irvine so it is geared towards students of all ages. Again, both these centers are a short 5 minute taxi ride so if you are going to be drinking you won't need to be driving.

There is a country dance club nearby that is popular called In Cahoots if you're into that kind of dancing, but as far as regular dance clubs its slim pickings. There is one called Tapas bar & grill that students go to when they have 18+ events that is popular, but other than that not many choices unless you are 21.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
