Your dorm floor mates will almost always end up as your best friends.

When you find it consider yourself the luckiest person on campus.
College Freshman 2013-11-26T02:06:55Z
I have never heard of drug use on campus and only a few people gong to go drink.

They do keep a close eye on you, but nothing so much that you feel like you are back in high school.
College Freshman 2013-11-26T02:04:18Z
Really it isn't that bad. It's even homemade. Just when you make food for a few thousand students its not going to be in the highest grade.

If you're a city person Seward probably is not for you. Lincoln is close though. This town though is a country persons dream however.

We have diversity at this school. Especially when it comes to economic class. You will see people of every single economic level here.

Health & Safety:
There really is not anything here that could make you feel unsafe so the campus police are nonexistent.

You can always find a parking spot. Granted your new spot might be a few spots from where you were but it won't take you an hour to find the spot.

There are cheaper and more expensive dorms which you can pick from. Even the cheaper dorms are fairly nice and most dorms are conveniently placed so you can get around campus fast

The drugs scene at Concordia it fairly good. It's really just a small group who smokes, and while drinking is more popular it's mostly done in a safe environment and if people don't want to drink there are other things to do.

Greek life isn't very prevalent in my particular college

The weather can be really bad somedays, freezing, snowing, and winding, but other days it can be absolutely beautiful, 75 degrees, sun shining.

The atmosphere of Seward is great! I love the small town feel. Sometimes I wish there was more to do, but Lincoln is only 25 minutes away!
College Sophomore 2013-06-30T21:34:14Z
We have a really strict campus. I like it that way most of the time.
College Sophomore 2013-06-30T21:33:32Z
The dorms are old, but they are slowly being updated. The social atmosphere isn't always present, but when it is, it is great!

There is not much in Seward, Nebraska. I usually eat in the cafeteria. The food in there is not always great but they do have days when the food is very good. They don't have a huge variety because the cafeteria is not that big.

I came to Concordia University because I really liked the people of the town and the school. I have never meet anyone who was rude or didn't want to help me. The professors are really great. They want to help any way the can even if it means going out of their way. They really try to make the lecture engaging and really want students to be active in the class discussions. They really care about what is best for the student.

I am currently enrolled in Concordia University and I'm doing very well at my college. My major is English. It took me awhile to figure this major because I wasn't sure what I really wanted to do. The teachers at my college really helped me figure out what I like doing and why. I have had great academic success because of the support from my family and the teachers that taught me. The teachers really had a passion for what they were teaching and had past experience in their particular subject. This experience allowed teachers to talk about first hand experiences. Going to Concordia University will prepare me for the life ahead of me.

It is so convenient to live on campus. The rooms are nice, they are actually remodeling most of them this summer! The cost is average. It does cost a little more to live in the dorms rather than off campus, however, when you live off campus you miss out on the family atmosphere Concordia provides!
College Junior 2013-04-10T02:15:00Z
Everyone cares! There isn't much in Seward, but we are 30 miuntes away from Lincoln and there is a lot to do in Lincoln. However, the community of Seward really cares about the college students attending Concordia and try to plan fun interesting events for the students.
College Junior 2013-04-10T02:13:20Z
There isn't really a need for a car on campus, unless you are an education major and have to drive for teacher aiding or you just like to travel. The campus is small enough to walk everywhere and the community is average, walking distance. It is usually easy to find a parking space, although you may have to walk a little distance to get to your dorms.
College Junior 2013-04-10T02:11:38Z
I am used to the weather because I am from Kansas and it is practically the same. We get snow in the winter and extreme heat in the summer! I love it!
College Senior 2013-03-07T17:29:38Z
I love my programs at school. I meet a lot of new people and we can connect on topics outside of the classroom as well. The instructors facilitate learning and get the class really involved in learning.
College Senior 2013-03-07T17:28:26Z
I am double majoring now and the psychology department is phenomenal in their knowledge, getting you through the courses, and helping you actually learn. I could say the exact same thing for the education department as well.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
