College Prowler Take
Most students say that drugs at Cornell are not a problem and that what little problems exist stay underground. Everyone will most likely meet your stereotypical pot head, and that’s probably the most common drug-related issue you’ll find here. Some students also use amphetamines and prescription drugs like Ritalin to stay up for late-night cramming sessions.
Although drugs are by no means prominent on campus, some say that if you want them, they’re easy to find. Fortunately, there isn’t a lot of pressure to get involved in drug use, and Cornell has much less of a problem than many other schools. Students tend to agree that they have never witnessed an obvious drug culture at school.

Just like any other college campus, drugs are present. If you look hard enough, you can find pretty much anything. However, alcohol is Cornell’s predominant substance of choice for students. |

I have never done any drugs, so I don’t know too much about it. I try to stay away from that, but I am fairly certain that there are plenty of drugs being passed around. You can pretty much get whatever you want whenever you want, it if you need it. |

It’s not a very big scene, to be honest—alcohol dominates. Obviously, there are people who smoke pot here and there, but it’s not really all that mainstream. Besides that, I think it’s fairly rare for people here to go into other harder drugs. |

Yeah, there are drugs here just like on every other campus. It really is up to you not to get involved. |
