Clubs and Organizations on Campus

There are too many student organizations to count. Actually someone did once and found more than 825 registered organizations on campus. Some of the more prominent organizations are listed below.

Student Organizations

  • A Cappella Groups – There are many a cappella groups that hold concerts and "Arch sings" where the groups give free concerts under various campus arches
  • ALANA – African, Latino, Asian, and Native American Program Board, organizes educational and social events to celebrate these cultures
  • American Institute of Graphic Arts
  • Class Council – Each class has a group that sponsors entertainment and activities for that class
  • Cornell Concert Commission (CCC) – Organizes and works at big concerts at Cornell, students are able to meet their favorite artists
  • Cornell University Program Board (CUPB) – Organizes major lecutures and entertainment for Cornell
  • EARS – Empathy, Assistance, and Referral Service, offers short-term counseling for Cornell students.
  • Festival of Black Gospel (FBG) – Group that celebrates gospel music through different events
  • Haven – Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Student Support and Outreach, offers group support and discussions for people looking at sexuality and gender issues
  • Hillel – Cornell's huge Jewish association that sponsors dinners, guest speakers (like Mike Reiss, the Simpson's Producer), and more. You don't have to be Jewish to enjoy all Hillel offers
  • Intramural Sports – Play on a sports team without pressure, sign up for anything from soccer to badminton to bowling
  • SOS – Finds and trains people to volunteer on Slope Day, the last day of classes
