Unpredictable Weather!

At Cornell, you honestly should not be surprised if it rains, snows, sunny, and tornado like winds on the same day. The majority of the school year is pretty chilly and cloudy. So if you are a person who is not used to having minimal sunlight on a daily basis, think twice before you want to come here. However in late april and in May, the weather is absolutely perfect. So, if you have the patience to deal with all the crazy later in the beginning of the school year, you will surely be awarded well at the end.

Not So Much

If you're looking for a big drug scene, Cornell is probably not the place. That's not to say there isn't one (if you take one look at the Commons in downtown Ithaca, you'll immediately find the hemp shop), but it's not something that students would describe as prevalent.
