Cornerstone University has a wonderful campus and dorm life.

Cornerstone does have strict policies. But it's a Christian school, the rules are clearly laid out in the handbook: you know what kind of conduct you're committing to when you come here.

I have found that Cornerstone has a good balance when it comes to Campus Strictness. Only Freshman have curfew. On the weekdays it's midnight and weekends 2 am. Though most Freshman hate this, I didn't mind. It teaches us discipline and responsibility, and to actually think about our choices, like going to bed at a decent time to be fully awake the next morning for class. And again, it's only for one year!
Cornerstone also has a no drinking policy for all students that attend their school. This is simply to respect our brothers and sisters in Christ who may be offended by drinking, as well as to avoid the appearance of wrong doing to the general public, since the majority of the campus is underage. Cornerstone's goal in all of this is to be above reproach.

Our school is pretty conservative, so there is no visible partying on school grounds. I don't hang out with any partiers, but I know I'd hear about parties if we had them. Our campus is way too small for that. I appreciate it. I know that if you do get caught you can be kicked out. If you're on a sports team, you'll very likely lose your scholarship. Freshman have a curfew of midnight on weekdays, and 2 on weekends. That can be annoying, but once you're onto your second year, you really appreciate not having a curfew. We aren't allowed microwaves or coffee makers in our rooms, and that is annoying, but the microwaves are provided (but may be very old).

The school is fairly strict about academics. Papers are expected to be handed in ontime, and they expect the work to be done well. This pushes us to exellence. Some professors, when asked ahead of time, have been willing to extend due dates for smaller projects.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
