Crafton Hills is a good school to begin your educational career, even on a nontraditional schedule. With tutors for English and math at all levels and courses from pre-college to second year, Crafton offers a wide range of education. There is always someone available to help you go where you want with your education. Some teachers and staff are harder to reach than others and the Financial Aid Office can be a real problem, but overall, students have what they need to succeed and grow. Part of this is a tedious process, though—like applying, getting an educational plan, and seeing about financial aid. This may be a bit mechanical or grueling, especially if there are any issues that are not well addressed. It is those moments that are generally hardest to deal with as a student. The good news is that the educational part is a lot better at Crafton. More often than not, the teachers are good, the help is available, and students just need to properly apply themselves. There will be a few professors in every student's life that will be less helpful or even a problem; however, with a little effort, everyone can do well enough to get a degree or transfer to a four-year university.

Degrees or transfers are two of the three primary goals of Crafton Hills. The third is specialized education in things like medical and emergency services fields. From the Basic Skills Initiative for students with substandard skills to classes like "Multivariable Calculus" for those looking for something more advanced, Crafton meets these goals, in addition to offering flexible schedules, from early-morning to late-evening classes. All it takes is effort on the part of the student to match what the school offers.
