Strict Campus

Creighton is one of the strictest schools I've heard about. Being a Jesuit institution, we are not allowed to have the opposite sex in our rooms past 1PM on weekdays and 2PM on weekends. Students must hand their ID card to a desk worker to personally swipe the card after 7PM. Very early, most schools don't ever do this. However, there is always someone at the desk, which is safe. Creighton does not tolerate drinking and punishes somewhat severely. Parents are always notified if student is caught with alcohol in system/on body, and if severe student is sent to Creighton University Medical Center and fined. The student now has an offense on their record and must take classes.

Colder Than I Expected

The weather in Omaha is beautiful in September and May, and mostly beautiful in October and April. November through March is a beast, with temperatures not infrequently dropping below zero and relatively little snow (though one can expect the occasional blizzard). Classes have only been cancelled twice in the last several years. Most people shut themselves indoors for those few months, since Omaha doesn't have a great outdoor winter activities scene (little skiing, hockey, etc.)

Terrible

Do not come here if you're anything but white or Asian/Hawaiian. The asians/hawaiians don't talk to anyone but each other and alot of the white people act like they've never seen anything but white people their whole lives. If you're black or mexican you'll probably feel really out of place
