The unique thing about Baruch is that it is very diverse. There are many different backgrounds and religions to learn about.

In the Heart of the City

Baruch College is in Manhattan, which is a very busy area. There are many places to eat, which is always good, and you can go shopping during your breaks if you want.

No Complaints So Far

I don't think there's a high campus crime rate. The neighborhood is excellent. I feel very safe on campus, but I wouldn't get comfortable to the point of being stupid. Being responsible with your stuff is a must, but not any more than you normally would. The security guards are pretty solid, too. I got in trouble once for bringing my friend in to use the bathroom and taking too long. The security guard called three public safety officers immediately. I thought it was overkill, but better than a lax security, I guess. That was the first and last time I did that.
