Baruch students don't have a specific look—they are as different as the residents of the Big Apple. Thinking purely of looks, girls are guys are described as beautiful and handsome, respectively, to the opposite. Clothes reflect lifestyles and cultures, and in the same class, you can spot a flashily dressed fashionista and a woman covered in a conservative Muslim hijab. In a crowd of students, a hip-hop-style outfit coexists with suits and ties. If you're outgoing, you can easily find a boyfriend or girlfriend who's your type. A lot of students are bookish and career-oriented, but there are also some who save some time for partying. Baruch students can be serious-minded, sometimes cold.

In terms of the social scene, don't get your hopes up for too much socializing on campus. As a commuter school, most students leave campus after studying is over. A typical guy or girl is someone who's quickly packing up after class, squeezing into a crowded elevator, and rushing to catch a train home or to a part-time job. If you're looking to get to know other students through late-night socializing and partying, Baruch is probably not for you. Unless you already have friends on campus, most socializing here can feel semi-formal because a significant chunk of interaction happens in clubs and organizations during scheduled events. There are no dorms, so privacy is minimal, meaning there’s no space for sexual activity on campus. Most students aren't commuting to Baruch each day to have fun. A large number of the students are working adults or  professionals taking graduate-level classes.

Baruch College: Diverse Cultures

One of the interesting things about going to a school in the middle of New York City is that there is a very diverse culture. I personally have never been interested in anyone at the school but the options are available no matter the individuals taste.

Guys/Girls

The girls are pretty average, there are some that really catch your eye. There are a lot of hot guys, but you may find it hard to confront anyone because of the fast paced environment. The only place you will really get to know people is in class and during club hours.

Eh They're Okay.

Nothing special. There are a few nice-looking guys at school, but it's mostly a bunch of nerds—nothing that really catches my eye. A lot of different types of people interact and there is a lot of diversity at Baruch. They usually dress urban with expensive designer clothes.
