Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

There isn't any nightlife on campus, but it's not really fair to expect any since Baruch is a commuter school. Occasionally, students will organize campus parties, such as masquerade ball. Although often dry, these parties can be quite fun. There are also receptions that celebrate particular events, like the release of Encounters, the College's literary magazine, and these receptions may feature alcohol for students 21 and older.

The real night scene is off campus. Some recommended spots are Webster Hall, Fitzgerald's Pub, and Mad Hatter Saloon, with the last two only being a short walk from campus. New York City is as close to world-class entertainment as you can get, and there are a ton of nightclubs and bars from which to choose. Lower Manhattan, easily accessible by train, has lots of fun places for all sorts of people. So, overall, while the curfew-regulated, commuter-based Baruch campus can't really be viewed as a beacon of nightlife, it's unbeatable when it comes to its vast and colorful party choices.

New York City

The nightlife is fun as long as you're over 21. Not many things to do if you aren't. There aren't any frat houses. If you can get in places, you can have fun. Also be prepared for most people you talk to to be out of school.

Get in and Get Out

There isn't much of a night life at Baruch because it is a commuter school and everyone lives so far away. I have yet to hang out with people from the school

Parties

If you are looking for a "party school," Baruch is not it. Still, if you do want to party there are several places just blocks from campus, not to mention the ridiculous amount of bars and clubs that New York City has to offer.
