Professors Are Not the Greatest.

I am not thrilled with the professors at Brooklyn College. I have had many who don't seem to care much about their students. My major is health and nutrition but the professors I've had for that are amazing. It very much depends on the professor you have. I do not agree with the curriculum, as far as core requirements go. This might not be just for my college but I don't understand why students must take 11 core classes that have nothing to do with our major. Maybe five core classes would be more reasonable. As for the registration process, students must register as soon as possible because classes close up very quickly.

The Library Is the Best.

The facilities at Brooklyn College are not that bad. For one, everyone loves the library at my college. It has four floors and has a nice interior. It always gets compliments. I don't usually hang out there but I know some people do. The bathrooms are very clean as well. The student center in one of the buildings is nice too. It's not exactly a hangout either but you can get free tutoring which is a plus. Also, I know that Brooklyn College has clubs that people can join. That's a great way to meet new people who share your hobbies. Lastly, the campus is a pleasing to look at. The landscaping is well-done and some of the buildings are beautifully designed.

I Was Not Entitled to Financial Aid.

I live at home with my mother, who is a single parent and my brother, who also attends college. She is a teacher in a junior high school and pays my tuition, as well as my brother's. We are very much in need of financial aid but we are not eligible for it. I am very disappointed in that because I know many people who qualify for financial aid and they do not need it as much as my family does. A good number of those people drive around in expensive cars and live in nicer houses than the apartment my family lives in, yet they are the ones who are entitled for financial aid. I find that very immoral. I would suggest financial aid be given to single parents, especially those paying for more than one child.
