CUNY College of Staten Island Reviews
Rating 3.48 out of 5 1,108 reviews
I enjoy being able to access everything I need without having to venture across a huge campus. Everything is not hard to access, and almost always do I get to where I need to be in under 7 minutes. The culture at CSI is great, tight-knit, feels like everyone is always excited to see you, likely because they genuinely are. The academics are super underrated, and my professors are easy to learn from. Things the school offers are easy to take advantage of, such as the library, tutoring programs, administration help, etc. If you don’t mind a smaller setting, and if you are one to prioritize accessibility, this place is for you.
Poor teacher quality, not even grad student, just any master student that has another job, my homework is 6 weeks to create anything without lecture.
The acceptance rate is high. Not going to learn anything here.

College of Staten Island gets a bad rep but I think it is very underrated. The college has alot of opportunities but you just have to look out for it and make an initiative on your part which makes sense because it is college after all. I got to work with many amazing professors throughout my undergraduate career. As a psychology major, I got to get very rich research experiences which even helped me land an internship at NASA and gave me the opportunity to present my research overseas. Definitely use rate my professors to your advantage to seek out the good professors because CSI indeed has them. This school also prepared me for graduate school, with their career services as well as the professors' mentorship. I recently got into Rice University and I know of many alum who went onto other great schools for their graduate education including Columbia, NYU, other CUNY colleges, among others. Overall, I believe the school is what you make of it and the pretty campus is a plus.
