Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

Overall, Hunter College is great if you are seeking a quality education at an affordable price. The Hunter experience is one that includes making friends from around the world, learning from top-notch professors, and having the opportunity to intern and work for great New York-based companies.

While most students bemoan the fact that Hunter is a commuter school that limits their college experience in some way, others tend to appreciate being able to pay for school without having to take out extensive loans, which makes up for not having a sprawling campus or on-campus accommodations. While Hunter definitely does its part in ensuring that students who pass through the doors (or turnstiles) are knowledgeable enough about the world to succeed once they graduate, Hunter students are also expected to take an active role in making their college experience as rewarding as possible. Be prepared for intense classes that require independent preparation. Don't forget to visit Career Development Services to find ways to jump-start your career through internships; also, join an organization that interests you, and always take initiative to make your Hunter experience as good as you want it to be.

Public Transportation

So. Basically the only way to get to Hunter is by public transportation via bus or train. It is a little of a pain, but it is doable.

A Complete Hassle

These people at the office constantly give you the run around and are so difficult to work with. Sometimes you question if the aid is even worth it.
