I am very happy with my current career goals.

I am not a part of Greek life

Public transportation is great. They have a bus stop in front of campus.

Amherst is a nice area, and its easy to go into Buffalo. It's big enough where there are things to do(such as go to a movie, a few restaurants) but small enough that you aren't crowded and you dont feel like living the city life. Overall Its pretty quaint.

I can still walk from my off-campus apartment, it takes me less than 10 minutes to walk to Daemen and I'm paying less than half the price of dorming, although I loved living on campus my first two years.

Canavan Hall is the freshman dorm, it is a community style building, the rooms are set up in suites, and it's really easy to meet your floormates and make a lot of friends. The apartments are for any year after you're a freshman, and they're excellent. They have 4 single rooms, a kitchen, and a living room.

I really enjoy the PT program, there is a great sense of community. It is rigorous, but the professors encourage study groups and visiting their office hours.
College Sophomore 2013-08-15T22:08:27Z
As a PT major, I will be doing 4 clinical internships before graduation, 9 weeks each. Daemen has great connections, and they can even set up new clinical internship sites if you have an interest in a particular clinic.

The places on campus offer a good variety. There is a normal meal plan dining hall, an a la carte cafe with your typical "bar food," and a cafe by the library for late night study sessions. They work very well with people who have specific requests (vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, lactose intolerant, etc) and are very good with working with feedback. The only reason I didn't give it an A was the hours are not very extensive, only open until 7 or 8pm and very limited on the weekends.
College Senior 2013-08-06T17:14:04Z
Daemen does have a transportation bus. I have never used it though.
College Senior 2013-08-06T17:11:20Z
There are labs on campus and laptops to use in the library but the need for your own laptop is fairly high still. The labs fill up quickly.

I think the aid is fairly good. The college does give merit based scholarships which, for me, paid for half of my tuition. The rest is mostly FAFSA.

Guys & Girls:
Daemens demographics consists of 85% white, 11% Black, 2% Hispanic, 1% American Indian/Alaska Native and 1% Asian/Pacific Islander. There aren't many cute boys there, but thankfully UB and Buff State are maybe 10 minutes away and have cuties there. Most students don't really dress up to go to class. Mostly sweats and uggs. Relationship wise, since the school is so small everyone knows your business.

Health & Safety:
I have never felt unsafe on Daemen Campus. It is small and everyone knows of everyone. They could use a younger security team. As with anything, you should keep your doors locked just incase. Daemen has a "dry hall" rule which means no drinking or smoking (or any form of drugs) in the residence halls and if you are caught with alcohol or drugs you can be written up.
College Sophomore 2013-07-30T23:57:26Z
Daemen offers shuttles only on the weekends. Sometimes the shuttles are unreliable and only run from about 12 to 4pm. Amherst has a bus system that you can utilize. Also cabs run 24/7 and are very reliable. In order to get around you can either rely on the shuttles or a friend who has a car.
College Sophomore 2013-07-29T19:12:06Z
I always have an hassle. You have to keep calling or nothing will get done
College Sophomore 2013-07-29T19:10:17Z
At Daemen there is only one freshman dorm. As you more forward with college you live in the apartments which are nice two people share a bathroom but four share an apartment. The other option is to live at collegiate village it is off campus but there are free shuttles
College Sophomore 2013-07-29T19:07:18Z
Campus shuttle run on Saturday and Sunday only. there is a public transportation but you have to pay for it.
College Sophomore 2013-07-25T15:44:26Z
very good for a drug free alcohol free campus, good security as well
College Sophomore 2013-07-25T15:43:25Z
there really isnt too much to do on campus, that is why i communte, much better
College Sophomore 2013-07-25T15:41:20Z
few activites, wish there were more gathered activies
College Sophomore 2013-07-25T15:40:56Z
few off campus housing places and most of them are old and pricey
College Sophomore 2013-07-10T22:41:23Z
I received one of two arts scholarships, as well as a presidential scholarships and a few grants. Despite the high prices because it is a private school, I managed to bring the costs down to those comparable to state schools by taking advantage of every financial aid opportunity I could find.
College Sophomore 2013-07-04T17:23:04Z
There really is not a nightlife at this school. Everyone leaves to go to other places such as the University at Buffalo.
College Sophomore 2013-07-04T17:21:59Z
There is not much to do around Daemen. Most people go to the University at Buffalo on the weekends...there is more to do there and UB is only 10 minutes away. Williamsville has a lot of restaurants and shops but, the area is small.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
