The most unique thing about this school is that the class size is small and the teacher can be contacted very easily for academic help. The experience here is very personable.

The school's network is reliable, every now and then it will be down for a couple hours but not usually. The need for personal computer and printer is great since the computer labs and printers are being used by others most of the time.

The facilities are helpful but seeing as it is a community college, there are many adult students who often are crowding the areas. The facilities should be larger.

I am glad that I choose this school because last year I had a lot of health issues but the Dean worked with me and I am on track this year. If they make a decision that you do not agree with, all you have to do is send an email and protest. They will listen to your side and do change their decisions if you have a good reason for what happened. I was hospitalized both the spring of 2012 and the fall of 2012 which caused me to fail both semesters. They suspended me but when I protested and showed that the surgeries were unavoidable and were needed to save my life, I was allowed to return fall of 2013. My GPA will improve sense I am in better health.

The places on campus are not too bad. There is a library, a learning commons, and a small auditorium. It is not a campus that students live on but it still feels very comfortable and welcoming.

The Campus Resources are always causing and having problems. It is stressful for the students because the servers are down and its stressful for the teachers because they have to change turn in dates

The Career Services will help you in any way they can and will explain things in common English so you can understand.

Dccc has college transfer degrees and a lot of professional degree and certifications. Most people want to transfer.

I use the computer lab in the library. Theres always a free computer and ive never had problems with the internet. Theres also good wireless around campus. Printing is free if you bring your own paper. You don't need a personal computer, its just more convenient in situations with an online class or assignment.

Heavier workload most of the time. Not much interaction between peers and professors, which is fine with me. I just think that some teachers need to communicate with students more, because some directions are too vague.

The student services are a great amount of help when it comes to advising, after school meetings, job opportunities and more.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
price is fair, the financial office is crazy at times. Every semester so far that have had trouble with the disbursements. There is a hassle and you have to constantly call and remind them that they have yet to send you the remain grant moneys. They seem somewhat disorganized at times.

The resources are excellent and offer a large area

Sometimes the wireless network goes down for extended periods of time making it difficult to view assignments online or turn in assignments due online. But other than that the number of available computers is great and printing is cheap and not a problem.

Our school has big party type days, usually during warmer weather, but it's been known to happen in the winter, where they have booths and other activities set up for students who have breaks throughout the day can go and have fun for a bit, or just take a day to have fun.

The school library is full of the right books needed for research, projects, and some just for reading for fun. They have a gym, but I don't go, and the cafeteria isn't bad. But I wish their prices were a tad cheaper, or the serving sizes were bigger.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The schools tuition is fine, and I feel like I'm learning what I paid for. I haven't gotten any financial aid to go to this school. I think this school would talk to the students before they do anything relating to the students paying money.

The online courses are also very good because the teachers reply to emails fast when you have a question or need help and the assignments are graded on time. The teachers also have good office hours in case some extra help is needed face to face.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The education is great. The college is linked to many other 4-year universities so most or all the credits are transferable. I believe that my money there is being used correctly because I'm getting the right education for me and as much help as I need to be successful in my classes.

The school has several academic programs that are the best among many other colleges. The faculty is very professional and they help you out when needed. the teachers always have good office hours and are available to the students. the campus life is great because is easy to get to know others because of the college activities.

I am getting just an associates in arts so this is mainly general education courses. Gen ed is always required anywhere that you go. The workload can be time consuming depending on how many credit hours you are taking.

The professors care about your success at the college, but they still expect you to do your work and that is necessary. Meeting with my advisor to schedule classes is a breeze and I believe that the process of a two year degree with Associates in Arts is exactly what I need from DCCC to pursue my degree in elementary education at a four year university.

Most of the students at my campus in Davie County are too immature to be there because they are in the Early College. Therefore, they are mostly all incredibly loud, annoying, and obnoxious. The normal aged college students are truly the minority on the campus.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
