Nightlife is mostly an on-campus deal, but you won't have to struggle to find spots to party. East Quad is really the focal point of partying, and parties there can get big. There is a lot of heavy drinking, and people do hook up a lot. Juniors and seniors tend to have a bit better of a nightlife than underclassmen, mostly because they don’t have to worry about being underage. Although there are clubs in Columbus, most students settle for the one bar in downtown Granville: Brews Too! It’s an overwhelming favorite with seniors, but if you’re under 21, you won’t be allowed into that party. Organizations like fraternities and sports teams throw a lot of parties on campus as well. Some of these parties can be pretty exclusive, but usually they are open to everyone who wants to go. After recruitment, the sorority and fraternity parties become very exclusive, stopping non-members from entering. Freshmen have also been known to throw their own, no-alcohol-allowed parties in East. For those who prefer not to drink, or those under 21, parties thrown by campus organizations such as Homecoming are a good choice. Students Speak Out

Parties on campus can be really...
Parties on campus can be really fun, but you need to know who's throwing the party. It's really irritating when freshmen burst into parties just because they heard the music and were searching for one. Senior apartments usually throw the best parties. As for off campus stuff, there's not much.

Parties on campus are pretty good,...
Parties on campus are pretty good, especially those in the Sunset apartments (senior housing on campus). There is a bar on campus for 21 year-olds called the Roost but other than that there isn't much around. Kegs are not allowed on campus.

There are a lot of parties during...
There are a lot of parties during weekends, and most of them provide free alchohol. There aren't any pubs or clubs that are exciting enough to be noticed around campus, but we do have a student-run pub on campus called Bandersnatch. It hosts quite a few performances each week, and it's really fun to hang out with friends there.

There are parties about every...
There are parties about every other day, because of the way classes are scheduled. The only real bar nearby is Brews, which is notorious for checking I.D.'s. They actually would not let a girl from Alaska in, because they thought that her I.D. was fake. They tried to cut it up until someone stopped them.

Brew’s is a local bar that has good food and lots of liquor. There are no local dance places, but there are more clubs in Columbus. On campus, the Sunset Apartments are the party spots, and the fraternities tend to also put on parties. |

Organization Parties
Lots of organizations will throw parties (particularly around the holidays). Generally, these parties will be more along the lines of dancing, but there is usually music, free food, and the people who go to have a good time.

Located upstairs from Brews Café Deli, Brews Too! offers a very wide selection of beers. It can get pretty crowded and noisy on busy nights, but it’s a fun place to be, nonetheless. Brews Too! 128 E Broadway Granville (740) 587-7329
