Greek life at DePaul is much smaller and quieter than it is at a lot of state universities—probably due, in part, to the fact that there isn't any University-sponsored Greek housing on or around campus. While members of sororities and fraternities can rent off-campus apartments with their sisters and brothers, they will have a very difficult time finding a space large enough for everyone to reside together. Regardless, students in Greek life seem to really enjoy it, and to the Greek system’s credit, almost all of the sororities and fraternities place a strong focus on community service and dedication to the poor. However, the sense of community seems to fade on campus—Greek organizations tend to keep to themselves, and students who are not part of the system tend to avoid it. But, for students interested in joining a sorority or fraternity, there are plenty of each on campus.
Greek life at DePaul includes both social and professional fraternities and sororities. Most of the social organizations hold events that deal with community service or socializing, while the professional fraternities offer a lot of networking, community service, and social opportunities. Overall, Greek life at DePaul is fun for all those involved, but the hefty expenses and lack of campus housing don't appeal to the majority of students. At DePaul, there is a great sense of community, plenty of networking opportunities, and lots of chances to meet people and have fun whether you join Greek life or not.

Greeeek!
There is not a lot of Greek life at DePaul but I am not one to complain about this. Whoever wants to be in it can and so that is a plus.

Extremely Prevalent.
Greek students do dominate the DePaul. Everywhere I go I see them or have to work with one of them in a project. They are somewhat secluded from normal university life.

Not Much
There's only about 3 frats and they have pretty exclusive parties. I've gotten in way too many fights with drunk frat kids.
