Greek Dominated, Independents Welcome

I am planning to rush and pledge at DePauw this spring (we rush in the spring which is nice) but be forwarned! If you plan not to go greek here, you will feel out of the loop, and a little isolated. The reason the dining sucks here is because the only people who dine on campus are freshman and independents since houses have live in cooks. They try to cater to independents and they do the best they can. There is always a ton going on a depauw during the day, but I think if you KNOW you do not want greek life, you may not get the whole depauw experience. That being said, there are so many kids in the greek system, that there really is a wide range of houses. The frat boy stereotype doesn't exist here because every type of guy is technically a frat! Also keep in mind, the frat life makes depauw the party school it is. SO, it definately makes greencastle, IN a lot of fun...if you know how to handle it.

A Little Bit of Everything

It's a college, we've got every color of the rainbow and ranging from hot to socially awkward. But DePauw leans more towards hot guys and girls and with such a small community it's probably a great place to date seriously. But that's not what most people are looking for, this place is hookup central. And, again, with such a small community, people will know what/who you do.

Parking

parking is easy to get, anyone can have a car on campus.
