My favorite experience was working with my math tutor. He was very helpful and free. What makes DeVry unique to me is the fact that I am an online student that can take courses on campus if I so choose. I would totally choose DeVry again. The are very helpful and relevant for today work environment.

During one of my terms I had a great tragedy occur in my family that really made it difficult to continue. My professor at the time was amazing. She helped me to continue and encouraged it. I will never forget her for that. I got an A in the class. If it wasn't for this professor's advise and guidance, that would not have happen.

I must admit that my program of study in computer information system is pretty hard and very detailed, yet the hard work is well worth it. My courses allows for me to better understand my current job position better and helps me to improve/brush up on my knowledge base at work. Vice versa, my job also allows for me to bring experiences and knowledge to the discussion forum, which clearly helps me to better understand my course objectives and how what I learn in the classroom today will benefit me in my everyday life whether at work, home, or in school.

From my perspective, what I like about my professors here at Devry University that I have had the pleasure of working with is their involvement with the students both individually and as a class in whole. My professors were always available when needed, and if they could not get back to me asap on a matter I was sure to hear back from them within 24hrs. This was astonishing to me since all of my courses are online. Usually Professors are hard to reach and you can only catch them on a whim or during office hours, but I have lucked up to have Professors who made their students needs in the classroom a priority. I also like the fact that one of my Professors put together group projects that allowed for us online students to work closely with our online classmates in and outside of the classroom. This was cool since most of the class resided in different states and in different time zones, but the experience and getting to know about one another was very interesting and pretty cool.

As of right now I am currently working in the field that I am studying while also attending classes at Devry University, however the career center is very resourceful when one is looking for the right job in his/her field of study. My success coach and academic advisor both encourage me to look into visiting the career center and attending the different workshops that are there that helps on things such as looking for a job or improving current job skills. I've been to the career center several different times to attend different workshops and each visit was worth the travel, since I am an online student.

All of the classes that I have taken so far have something to do with the business world in one way or another so I am not taking classes that i do not need.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The Education I am getting is well worth the money I am paying for it. I have received financial aid, which helps out alot to ensure that I can complete my career and be able to make a difference in my education. I have not found there to be any kind of hidden fees involved with anything. There fees are upfront and updated on a daily basis. I have had an amazing experience with the financial aid office. They have directed me to many sites where you can apply for scholarships and aid to ensure you can complete your degree. The only tip I would have to getting financial aid is to ensure that you have your paperwork in on time, and even sooner rather then later. The earlier you have your paperwork in, the better your chances of being able to recieve a part of the every college's limited aid are.

I do not physically go to the school. I do everything online.

I was nervous about taking online classes at first. Once I was done my first class I was better able to understand what was needed to be done and understand the schedule that we need to follow. I have loved that I do not have to travel to class everyday so I can be at home with my family. There is alot of peer-to-peer interaction in the discussions during the 8 weeks that we are in class together. We do not meet face to face, but we are able to work in groups at times to get large projects done in a timely manner.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Lucky to Receive a Scholarship at the Last Minute – The financial department staff was pretty nice in my own opinion, they work with you to actually help you understand the whole process. However if your FASA states you're not eligible for any grants then you're on your own regardless. The scholarship I received from them is reusable so long as i keep my grades up. I gotta say I rather lucky to receive since it was last minute decision. However I still have to apply for other scholarships and probably get a part-time to keep myself afloat. The tuition is pretty pricey because of my program requirements.

This school offers on line classes and on campus classes. They have day and nights classes available. The classes do not have a lot of students in the classes room. The career advisor email you jobs that is avaliable for the students.

Mostly Working Students – The students in my class are from all over the world. They are mostly working parents with a range from 0 to 5 children. they are all of different religions and ethnic backgrounds. Even though they are there to further their education, you end up with new friends at the end of the 8 week semester.

Professors Involved Alot – I have found my experience with the professors to be very involved. Should there be something that has happened, all you need to do is call or email your instructor and they get back to you within hours, unless it is late at night then they are replying as soon as they log on. I have not had any kind of issues with any instructors or any other issues for that matter. The registration process is done online and finished over the phone which is a major help. They also have to answer questions to determine if you are going for the correct major for what you want to accomplish and do with your education.

Since I'm just starting out this fall, most of my review will be about the area that I have been exposed to. The location is great. Everything a student would need is there or nearby. Inside the facility, everyone was approachable and accommodating. The facility itself was very clean and presentable. Whatever area I was exposed to was presentable. Their opening presentation was what made them unique. They gave you a visual of what your future would be like at Devry.

The school has mixed curriculum. The call it brindled learning. Weekly Lecture + Online participation + Assignments + Labs.
The network is slow and temperamental. They just made it Mac Friendly.

Happy W/My Choice – I am looking forward to earning a Bachelor's Degree w/ DeVry University. I will not be attending "on campus" but will be taking on-line classes instead. I promise to work very hard and I am very excited to begin after so many years of graduating HS & never being afforded that chance.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
