I'm in your Marketing 14733 class and I made an intense study guide a while back. There's important info that will be on the test at the end of the semester. If you want a copy, click here! http://www.flashnotes.com/e/20032/.
I'll be uploading notes for the rest of the semester, so make sure to follow me to get updates when I post new materials (http://www.flashnotes.com/profiles/jaz000/). Flashcards, study guides, you name it.

I am an online student therefore I have no personal interaction with other students.

As an online student I have had no issues with the computer network system.

The online professors have been very heplful

I'm a business major and some of the classes that I have taken seem to be unnecessary. I have a limited amount of financial aid and would prefer to take courses that will really impact my career first.

This is my first year at devry, but I already have recruiters helping me find careers suitable for me.

It's very simple. It's easy to navigate, plus if you need help, the professor is almost always on call.

I am a criminal justice major. It's easy, and fast. DeVry is a career oriented school, dedicating their main focus on your needs.

All the professors and administration are incredibly helpful, and the roster is small so there's more time for one-on-ones with the professors.

The main problem with my major is that they are liquidating it later this year and early into 2014. As for the last remaining classes, they have been quite successful. It is mostly group project work which is going well. The classes I have taken over the past couple years have been a mixed bag. Most of my electives involve typing up papers while others going into working with others. I struggled with the math and early programming courses due to the teachers not being much help or flat out not going over the material. Some teachers I did have have been great and passed those classes with flying colors.

Well career services does give me feedback when it comes to job fairs and webinars. Also events that are featured on campus. The biggest problem is involved in the non listening staff that run the office. I asked for them to help me with finding positions in my career field. They don't. They send me random positions that aren't even involved with my major to begin with or ones that I need several years of experience to attempt. When I call the positions that I want that they help me find a little with most of the research done by myself, the companies tell me to use the website which I got the phone number from in the first place.

It depends on your major overall. Some of the online instructors don't really assist you; but tell you to look through the book. The only time they need to contact you is to introduce yourself or if you are dire straights with the grades.

Some classes are more rigorous than others. I haven't had the opportunity to take many science classes, and wish I could. Business and computer classes seem to be DeVry's major strength.

Honestly, I'm not happy with the career center. They do good resume assistance, but their job seeking advice isn't anything I couldn't have googled on my own, and I have yet to get a bite from the contacts they've suggested.

I'm an HIT major. Due to the constant change in the field, the program is somewhat in flux. The practicum program is the biggest help. I would advise joining a professional association, as well, seeking mentors, and additional coding information.

For the most part, you get out of online courses what you put into them. They require a lot of self-discipline in order to keep on task and complete assignments in time. Sometimes the teachers seem detached, unfortunately, so if you need a lot of instructor feedback, it's hit or miss, but every now and again a really good one will come along, just like in the traditional classroom.

The school supports post-grad services such as the Career Center, Alunmni Network and job prospects. They are all quality at DeVry.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The education I am getting is worth every penny spent. I don't regret it now and I'm positive I won't regret after I graduate. It is a great school.

Since most of the work is completed online there is a lot of flexibility. You don't have to long on at a certain time for class and you can do a little work each day. DeVry excepted all of my credits that I transferred and had me registered for a new class in no time at all.

Mostly, my school consists of working-class people with full-time jobs or families. They often juggle many different roles in addition to being students. We all come from different backgrounds but we accept each other for who we are.
College Senior 2013-02-20T18:25:50Z
Compare to my old school the professors are more involved, the curriculum is executed greatly, the registration process is very easy. The workload at DeVry is as easy as you make it, planning is the key. They offer 24/7 tutoring and assistance.

Being a Computer Science major takes work. Yes there is obviously a lot to learn but DeVry makes it easy for me to understand. The work load is intense but when you get to the end of the course you will be surprised to see how much information you have learned. The classes are so informative and the teachers make it fun.

The library resource is online and not very user friendly so I have found that I have to use the internet or a physical library to find my resources.
